The 2027 Jeep Wrangler comes as a 2-door or 4-door in six core trims, from the $36,635 Sport to the Rubicon X, plus two V8 models. Below: what each trim adds, the Trail Rated figures, full specs, and how it measures up to the Bronco, 4Runner and Land Cruiser.

Why the Wrangler. Doors off, top down, four-wheel drive standard.
Every 2027 Wrangler has four-wheel drive, removable doors and a fold-down windshield, and every one wears the Trail Rated badge. You can pick from five tops, including Jeep's Sky One-Touch power top.
The trims mostly differ in how far off pavement they are built to go.
Four-wheel drive on every trim.
Four 4x4 systems, from part-time Command-Trac to the Rubicon's Rock-Trac with a 4:1 low range.
Doors off without tools.
Quick-release hinges let the doors come off with no toolkit, and the windshield folds down.
A 12.3-inch screen in every trim.
Uconnect 5 runs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Off-Road Info Pages for pitch, roll and steering angle.
Tows up to 5,000 lb.
That is for a properly equipped 4-door with the 2.0L turbo or the V6; the 2-door is rated for 2,000 lb.
What changed for 2027.
For 2027 the news is in the lineup. Jeep adds a 2-door California Edition and the Smoky Mountain, and its Twelve 4 Twelve series brings another round of limited editions.
Here is what Jeep lists for the model year.

Lineup
California Edition 2-door. The California Edition, with a body-color hardtop and all-terrain tires, adds a 2-door version from $42,630.
Lineup
Smoky Mountain. A 4-door limited edition with a body-color hardtop, a rear Tru-Lok locker and the 2.0L turbo, from $50,545.
Limited editions
More Twelve 4 Twelve models. Jeep's limited-edition series adds the Sarge, Laredo, JL-2A and Switchback for 2027, built on the Willys, Rubicon and Rubicon X.

Design. Seven slots, round lamps, removable everything.
The 2027 Wrangler keeps the shape Jeep has built for generations: a seven-slot grille, round headlamps, exposed door hinges and pronounced fender flares. Choose two doors on a 96.8-inch wheelbase or four on 118.4 inches.
The roof is your call. A Black Sunrider soft top is standard on most trims, with Freedom Top three-piece hardtops in black or body color and the Sky One-Touch power top on the options list. Nine wheel designs and 35-inch tires are available.
- Removable doors with quick-release hinges
- Fold-down windshield
- Five tops, including the Sky One-Touch power top

Capability. Three engines, four 4x4 systems.
Most trims start with the 285-hp 3.6L Pentastar V6 and a six-speed manual, with an eight-speed automatic optional. The 2.0L turbo four makes 270 hp and more torque, 295 lb-ft, and is standard on the Sahara. The Willys 392 and Moab 392 use a 470-hp 6.4L HEMI V8.
Sport, Sport S, Willys and Sahara use part-time Command-Trac 4x4 with a 2.72:1 low range. Rubicon and Rubicon X step up to Rock-Trac, with a 4:1 low range, front and rear Tru-Lok lockers and a front stabilizer bar that disconnects for more axle travel.
- Crawl ratio up to 100:1 (Rubicon)
- Up to 23 mpg highway (EPA)
- Up to 5,000 lb of towing (4-door)

Interior. A cabin made for open air.
With the top and doors off, the cabin is part of the trail, so every Wrangler gets a washout interior with removable carpet. Uconnect 5 runs on a 12.3-inch touchscreen in every trim, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Off-Road Info Pages that show pitch, roll and steering angle.
Cloth seats are standard. Rubicon X and the 392 models get Nappa leather, and the Sahara and Rubicon X add an Alpine premium audio system.
- Washout interior with removable carpet
- Off-Road Info Pages
- Up to 72.4 cu ft of cargo room (4-door, rear seat folded)

Every 2027 Wrangler is Trail Rated.
Jeep tests a model in five categories before it earns the Trail Rated badge. These are the Wrangler's best figures in each, and the equipment that gets there.
